I bought the Hartrampf's Vocabulary Builder in 1965. It was my best friend ! As it is said "A good Book is the best of Friends, the same today and forever.

It helps so easily to find words as we need them.

I came to know about this book underwent many edition changes; last two being 1947 (Grosset & Dunlap, USA) and latest being co-written by Geoffrey A. Dudley in 1979 (R.& W. Heap, UK).

It went out of print for a long time, before resurfacing as

This digital archive download is truly extraordinary but not a substitute to holding one in hand !

I grew up with this book as a child and I owe my fascination with language to it. It has its limits and, as an adult, I would look to newer works but it is well worth checking out. My father's old copy fell to pieces but I was delighted to find an old copy in a second hand book store a few years ago.
